Here we go, I’m not gonna lie but my Bachelor Degree in Human Kinetics (Kinesiology) from the University of British Columbia – Vancouver has been one of my greatest accomplishments and has opened so many opportunities to meet and work with people from all walks of life. My passion for exercise began during my first experiences with group fitness and at that point, I knew I was destined to work in the health/wellness field. I believe that along with exercise, holistic wellness strategies are the best way to achieve and maintain a healthy body, mind, and soul.
Heather’s career in fitness began almost 30 years ago after successfully completing Fitness Theory and Group Fitness Leader protocols for both the YWCA and BCRPA. Her passion for fitness led her to pursue higher education in the field and that, in turn, led to success as a Personal Trainer, Yoga Instructor, Kinesiologist and Educator. Even after logging thousands of hours as a dedicated and motivating Group Fitness Leader – Heather still enjoys learning and taking on new challenges in this ever evolving industry. She continues to teach live classes at various locations in Kelowna however, with industry challenges due to COVID19 she’s taken the leap to move many of her group classes to an online Zoom format. There’s truly nothing better than simply rolling out of bed and BOOM – you’re at the gym! Bedhead and all! No commuting, no traffic, no parking…really – No excuses! Working as a Kinesiologist I apply assessment and treatment protocols through active rehabilitation for individuals suffering from physical injuries sustained at work, through motor vehicle accidents (MVAs), sports or other everyday life activities. I assist with the correction of biomechanical deficiencies so clients can vivaciously live their best lives. I know and have first hand experience with the inconveniences of injury… pain, dis-function, sleeplessness. Through my own journey of acute injury, long waiting times prior to, then into the actual knee surgery (ACL/meniscus), rehabilitation and recovery I am a true believer in “health is wealth”! Recovery really does take a whole lot of determination, hard work but must importantly a team of experts to help you through the healing process. I have worked with physiotherapists, chiropractors, RMTs and sports medicine physicians as a hands-on link to the successful outcomes of rehabilitation. I create individually tailored exercise programs that are safe, efficient and effective guidance on your road to better health, mobility or just regular life activities.

There comes a time in our lives when the kids are out on their own yet we still find ways to avoid or neglect ourselves. Stop that! If there’s one thing I’ve learned after coaching hundreds of bodies is that we ALL try a little harder, stay more committed and get it done more efficiently with a coach. I specialize in areas of in weight loss, seniors fitness, cardiorespiratory, strength conditioning and flexibility. I truly believe that exercise doesn’t have to be a daunting task and take pride in making training sessions fun, yet challenging, educational, and most importantly effective! From novice to elite athletes, corporate execs, seniors, new moms and everyone in between. I will listen. I will hear your concerns. With honours education from Vancouver Community College in the Provincial Instructor Diploma Program (PIPD), I take pride in being a life-long learner and I’m eager to share my knowledge and passion for all things fitness! What better way to do that than to teach, mentor and encourage individuals to take the leap – become the awesome group fitness instructor or personal trainer that they’ve always dreamed of becoming.
